We walked around the hospital and were shown brand
equipment from Germany, Japan, UK & USA. Some of the
machinery appeared to have hardly been used at all, as they
were still encased in plastic covers.

through the premises appeared to have little
how to use the machines. We were shown round
intensive care units and we declined to enter the units

The oddity of the visit included a Japanese
Language Laboratory. It was specially set up to encourage
the learning of Japanese.
This, we were told, was
attributable to the large Japanese financial and technical
assistance.

The
uneventful visit culminated in a group picture
taken at the front entrance of the hospital and we were not
shown the VIP section.
