Wang reiterated that the Chinese Government did
British Nationality Scheme. Even though

servants who got a British passport under the Scheme would
not be penalized or discriminated against. The CPG was
considering, however, how they would distinguish between
the normal British passports which would be recognised, and
the British passports issued under the Scheme which would
not be recognised. He also highlighted that the few senior
government posts specified in BL101 could only be occupied
by Chinese citizens residing in Hong Kong with no right of
abode in foreign countries.
