FOREIGN CORPORATIONS ACT 1991

I attach a copy of Hong Kong telno 2812 and the Foreign Corporations Act 1991.

There is concern in Hong Kong over the status of the growing number of Taiwanese entities there. Hong Kong Government are considering ways in which the Act could be extended to Hong Kong, HKG also believe that it will probably not be necessary to consult the Chinese on this subject, though they express reservations.

3. I would be grateful for your views on the points which Hong Kong raise in their telegram.
