Thank you for your fax dated 29 July 1991 enclosing a letter from Josephine Cannon.

2. The Hong Kong Legislative Council, during its debate on 26 June, voted for the abolition of the death penalty. The Hong Kong Government are now considering whether to introduce amending legislation.

If Mrs Cannon has any other points she would like to make, I suggest she directs them to Hong Kong.
