LAND GROUP AUTHORIZES HALF OF GOVERNMENT REQUESTS

Chinese delegation on the Land Group agreed about authorizing 33 more hectars of land concession, for 1990. This was half of the area requested by Macau's government.Sino-portuguese

Joint Declaration says that every land concession over 20 hectars only can be done with the agreement of both sides, through the Land Group.

Few days before the meeting, which took place on December 20th the government announced a payment around 200 million patacas, às receipts from land concessions, to the special fund for the future Special Administrative Region of Macao.
