ISSUE OF BRITISH CITIZEN PASSPORTS IN TAIWAN

Thank you for your telex of 21 June. I have consulted the Hong Kong Immigration Department about the points you raise and they have replied as attached.

The only point I would add is that full British citizen passports can now be issued very quickly indeed (ie within a day or so) in Hong Kong where there is a proven urgent need.
