(a) notice in writing stating that the Broadcasting
Authority has under consideration the giving of such
a direction and the grounds upon which and any other
reason why the giving of such a direction is being
considered; and
(b) the opportunity of making representations or
objections concerning the direction under
consideration.
The notice referred to in subsection (2) (a) shall, in
addition to stating the matters required by that subsection, state
that representations and objections relating to the proposed
direction may be made to the Broadcasting Authority (either orally
or in writing or both) during such period (being a period of not
less than 28 days beginning on the date of receipt by the
Corporation of the notice) as shall be specified in the notice.
(4) Where the Corporation broadcasts any announcement in
pursuance of a direction given under subsection (1) it may at its
own discretion broadcast or otherwise publish the fact that it is
doing so in pursuance of such a direction.
42.
Governor in Council may prohibit broadcast
(1) Where the Governor in Council is of the opinion that the
peace or good order of Hong Kong is threatened he may prohibit the
Corporation from broadcasting any programme or part thereof, and
shall signify such prohibition by notice in writing to the
Corporation.
