A BILL

To

Establish a corporation to provide sound broadcasting services, to

provide and produce radio and television programmes and to

advise the Government regarding educational broadcasts; to vest

in the corporation certain property of the Crown at present

used by the Government department known as Radio Television

Hong Kong; and for related purposes.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

PART I

PRELIMINARY

1.

Short title and commencement

(1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Radio Television Hong

Kong Corporation Ordinance.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be

appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette and different

days may be so appointed for different provisions and for different

purposes.

2.

Interpretation

In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires

"appointed day" (9) means the day appointed under section 44;
