2. I understand that Mr Foy, ODA has sent Mr Rayson a copy of Mr Waters' (Civil Service Branch, HKG) letter (plus annexes) of 21 November, which answers parts A, B and E.
3. I enclose an extract from the Hong Kong Government staff (pp. 7-17, 554-Tist 1990, which I hope gives you a better idea of the Staff List HKGr salary structure for each grade of HMOCS officers, even
(990) though the figures are based on salaries at 1 July 1990.

For your information I also enclose a copy of the limited compensation scheme which is availabe for certain pensionable officers in Hong Kong as you know, this is funded by HKG.

You might also find it helpful to glance at the latest statistics we have on the localisation of posts in Hong Kong, which show the position as at July 1991 for the Administrative Services and Police Inspêctors and above.
