1. Please refer to your note of 1 November in which you asked for the figures to reply to Mr Mortimer's letter of 31 October to Mr Burns.
2. I thought you might find it helpful to have the information in the form of the attached draft letter for Mr Burns' signature. I am not surprised that the Treasury are pressing for more and more figures; our main task on 12 November will be to get them to accept the principles at stake.
