1. We agreed earlier this month, a line to take for
Lord Caithness on arrangements for HMOCS members in Hong Kong. In the event a formal statement was not made, although the Hong Kong Government did make known to the Association the gist of the statement when they attended the inaugural meeting of the HMOCS PBSOC. The Association apparently saw the statement as a positive move and welcomed it. Use of the statement in correspondence should enable us to keep the lid on matters at least for a short while.
2. I attach for your information relevant copies of the telegrams on our agreed line. these to you sooner.
