If the Labour Party really are thinking of
putting a draft statement to their National Executive in the next two weeks, I suggest that somebody should have a quiet word very soon with one of their foreign policy people like George Robertson (or indeed George Foulkes himself) to give them some of the background facts before they commit themselves too firmly to any particular policy position.
