We are part of something important Europe's infrastructure. We know, and others are realising, that infrastructure is the essential base of prosperity through commerce, industry and tourism. A project along the lines of PADS needs to be seen as another, major example of that kind of vision a platform for future prosperity in the region.

We are accomplishing the Channel Tunnel project in the private sector. We work in close liaison with two Governments and under their ultimate authority, but with no management interference. Private sector investment capital, with private enterprise in engineering and construction, are achieving the Tunnel. It is my impression that the private sector, European, American, Japanese and Hong Kong, is ready willing and able to participate in achieving the new airport and related projects.
That is good, and I wish all the interests involved the best of luck and great success. It will be hard work, but if well
done will be worth it.
