EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1991: XCC (91) 126
DECISION
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED
that
(a)
the
Education
Commission's
recommendation
to
abolish corporal
punishment
in
schools
should be
(b)
accepted. The Legislative Council brief
should make it clear that this was the
majority view of the Commission; and
under section 84 of the Education
Ordinance, the Education (Amendment)
Regulations 1991, at Annex A to the
memorandum, should be made.
