You asked in your minute of 29 July if we could check our files for any reports concerning BCCI in the year up to

5 July.

In the case of Hong Kong the relevant institutions are known as Bank of Credit and Commerce Hong Kong Ltd (BCCHK) and BCCI Finance International Ltd (BCCIFI). A search of our files has failed to reveal any reports about either of these two institutions during this period.

However I attach copies of recent papers from Hong Kong on the subject which we failed to copy to ERD for information at the time.
