On the BCC (HK), separate briefing for the Prime Minister's visit to the Far East and a background note on the Hong Kong Government's handling of the issue is being provided by HKD.Mr Keith Vaz MP visited Hong Kong last week and met with senior officials, including the Acting Governor. We have not yet had a detailed read-out and press reaction has been muted. Several banks have registered interest in buying BCC (HK) including the Chinese owned Ka Wah Bank. Liquidation proceedings have been adjourned for two months to allow all avenues to be explored.
