A confiscated ex-Hong Kong pleasure craft No. 23719 with

6 Chinese uniformed men on board was stopped twice within Hong Kong

waters one mile near of Lun Kwu Chau, 3 kms inside Hong Kong waters.

They gave the reason that they were looking for suspicious speedboats in

This vessel was observed leaving Hong Kong waters to Shekou at

0830 hrs.

(d) 15.3.90

A police launch was informed that a Hong Kong fishing

vessel had been boarded by some customs officers, 600 yards north of Tai

A Chau, just inside Hong Kong waters. In responding, the police launch

located the Hong Kong fishing vessel and found three Chinese uniformed

men on board. The fishing vessel ignored orders given by the police

launch to stop or alter course. The police launch observed the Hong Kong

fishing vessel leaving Hong Kong waters.

A police launch located a CPV towing a Chinese registered

vessel at Shum Wan East entrance of Aberdeen Harbour, three and a half

kilometres inside Hong Kong waters. The CPV refused to stop and ignored

all signals given by the police launch. At last a boarding party boarded

the Chinese registered vessel being towed. The CPV uniformed men on

board the Chinese registered vessel told the boarding party that their

CPV had arrested the Chinese registered vessel outside Hong Kong waters

but because they had to repair some minor defects of the CPV, they had

come into Hong Kong waters. They then left Hong Kong waters with the

Chinese vessel.

A Hong Kong fishing vessel with a cargo of 45 TV sets was

sighted being intercepted by a CPV and boarded by five Chinese uniformed

men, 400 yards south of Wang Chau, 13 kms inside Hong Kong waters. On
