General conditions for the granting of training support by the

Federal Border Police (GSG 9 Unit)

1. Security regulations

Training operations are governed by the security regulations and operational guidelines of GSG 9 Unit.

2. Liability waiver

The Sending State renounces in favour of the Federal Republic of

Germany all liability claims for damages caused to the Sending state

and/or members thereof in the course of training, with the exception

of wilful damage by Federal employees.

3. Assumption of liability

The Sending State assumes liability for all damages caused by

employees of the Sending state in the course of training in the Federal Republic of Germany.

4. Qualification requirements

Officers participating in training must fulfil the following requirements:

sufficient knowledge of German or English (spoken language)

good physical condition, above-average level of physical training

above-average capabilities in the use of small arms

- basic knowledge in unarmed combat

basic knowledge of operational tactics/methods employed by

special duty units in combating terrorism / extremely serious

crime.

5.

Costs

No fees are charged for training. The costs for board and lodging

are arranged on an individual basis according to current rates.

6. Medical care

Costs for any medical treatment required are paid by the Sending

state.
