Dear Adrian,

MNE Policy in China

China is developing policies towards Multinational Enterprises operating in its special economic zones.

As a follow-up to an ILO project in 1988 it is proposed to have a training programme for 10 Chinese officials in five Asian countries. The last stage of the proposed programme would be a visit to Hong Kong to see how they manage MNES.

The idea is set out more fully in the attached memo which the Multinational Branch in Geneva have sent me. You will see that the Hong Kong stage is proposed for 25-27 November. setting a suitable programme?

Yours David
