According to CT(8 Oct) a recent survey concluded that estimated 100,000 tons of rhinoceros horns are stockpiled in Rhinoceros horns are still widely available in herbal medicine shops.
The Taipei authorities commented that controls are mainly aimed against illegal imports of rhinoceros horn and ivory and a crackdown on domestic business has not yet begun.
