Dear Peter,

Martin Lee's office rang me last night to say that Martin was planning to come to London on Thursday 31st October and Friday 1st November. He wishes to have appointments with the Prime Minister, The Secretary of State and Lord Caithness. Can anything be done?

In trying to set up other appointments for Martin we realise that Thursday 31st October is the State Opening of Parliament Day and that it may be a little difficult for MPs and others to see him. Friday 1st November is a bad day because most MPS will be back in their constituencies by then. Depending on how much progress we make, therefore, we may have to consider rescheduling the visit. The key will be the extent to which Martin can get in to see the PM and Ministers.
