I am extremely grateful to you and to Mr Madden for

allowing us the use of his room during the Governor's visit

next week. The Governor will use the room in between his

meetings with officials and Ministers (I attach a copy of his programme). His Private Secretary, Mr Richard Hoare, will also need to use the room occasionally. Any support

services will of course be looked after by HKD, so I hope your department will be caused minimal disturbance.

Ms Emer Doherty (270 2657), who is dealing with the arrangements for the visit, will be in touch with Mr
