Governor's June Visit

The Governor will visit London in June and has asked our office to work out a visit programme. He will arrive on 21 June (Friday), and will be available for business from the morning of 24 June (Monday). He will leave either in the evening of 26 June (Wednesday) or 27 June (Thursday), depending on how the visits work out.

2.

Government House has been in touch with Alan Paul and has got the impression that Ministers will not be available on 24 June. As a result, we have been asked to make use of that day for non-FCO arrangements. That leaves 25 June for FCO.

3.

I should be grateful if you could arrange for the Governor's visits to FCO on 25 June. (Please however fix nothing for 1800-1900 as that slot has to be used for a meeting with the British-Hong Kong Parliamentary Group.)

4.

Your early reply will be appreciated - we have to give HK a reply by 15 June.
