PARTICULAR REGIONAL INTERESTS

a) Australia The Australian Federal Branch takes part in a bilateral visit programme later in the year. They have not been favoured in the regular programme.

b) Canada Quebec received a place on the seminar and a reserve place on the visit; Ontario a firm place on the visit and a reserve on the seminar. Although not the ideal outcome for the FCO equal treatment and consideration both provinces received.

c) Pakistan Members present suggested that the Pakistan state branches should be encouraged to bid. The CPA Secretary felt this would be inappropriate as Pakistan was not yet represented at federal level and he preferred a balance between federal and state representation. Members decided to encourage the Pakistan branches to attend the CPA seminar being held in Trinidad and Tobago late in 1992.
