3. We are open to suggestions on the agenda if you think that there are other subjects which you should be discussing with the Australians. Meanwhile, we will have to consider whether anyone (and if so who) should accompany you to Canberra. The advice from Post is that a team of three is needed to do the talks justice. past experience the agenda is likely to become broader as nearer the talks. I will be consulting Canberra further on this. It would be helpful to know whether the Political Director feels he could take on the South Africa item.
