Dear Sir,

I have recently been advised that an effort is being made to obtain compensation from the Japanese for losses sustained by British subjects, as a result of Japanese actions during World War 11.

A brief résumé of my personal history is appended hereto.

It would be appreciated if you will add my name to the list of British subjects who had losses due to the Japanese aggression in 1940/1946.

Please be so good as to advise what other action should be taken by me at this time, in connection with my family's losses.

Should your office not be processing War Claims, kindly forward this letter to the appropriate department.

Yours faithfully,

F. C. Opper

Frederick Charles Oppen.
