Incidentally Keith Shipley was in touch with Alan Paul and Gill Coglin here last November about possible assistance by HMG in assisting HMOCS members to find alternative employment if their services were not required after 1997. It emerged that we were nowadays likely to be able to provide only minimal assistance - ie registration with the ODA's Overseas Manpower Department for vacancies in other DTS and perhaps details of professional/executive placement agencies.
