Explanatory Note

These regulations amend the Electoral Provisions (Procedure)

Regulations as a consequence of the enactment of the Electoral

Provisions (Amendment) Ordinance 1990 (which extends the principal

Ordinance to direct elections in respect of the Legislative Council)

and for that purpose they

add new definitions such as "nomination period" and

"specified address" (regulation 2);
