AUTHORITY TO PUBLISH TEXTS OF TREATIES AS COMMAND PAPERS

Before Treaty Section, NTCD, can arrange for a Command Paper to be printed, laid before Parliament and published, the written authority of the Head of the appropriate FCO Department must be obtained (see DSP Political Volume 6, Part 1, Ch 8.1). Responsibility for checking this proof lies with Treaty Section, but the Head of Department's signature signifies that the form and content meet with the Department's approval and that nothing has been omitted or included in error.
