In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause

XIV of the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 1990, I

appoint

IAN ROBERT STRACHAN

Justice of the Peace, provisionally and subject to Her

Majesty's pleasure, to be an Official Member of the

Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 30 May 1991 during

the absence from Hong Kong of the Honourable Alistair

Peter ASPREY, Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the

British Empire, Air Efficiency Award, Justice of the

Peace.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony on 28 May 1991.
