GOVERNOR

In pursuance of instructions from Her Majesty the

Queen through the Secretary of State for Foreign and

Commonwealth Affairs, I appoint

JOHN JOSEPH SWAINE

Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British

Empire, Queen's Counsel, Justice of the Peace, to be a

Member and to be the Deputy President of the Legislative

Council of Hong Kong from the commencement of the next

session of the Legislative Council until the Legislative

Council is dissolved thereafter.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony on 25 September 1991.
