UDHK's Requests on LegCo and ExCo Appointments

As reported in my return submitted earlier, our respondents are not sympathetic with the UDHK's requests in connection with appointments to LegCo and ExCo. Some think that victory has got into the heads of the liberals and are worried that they may start "rocking the boat". From our liaison contacts, I gather that Mr LEE Wing-tat and Mr Albert CHAN are unhappy that the UDHK's requests on appointed LegCo members were not acceded to by the Governor.

Appointed LegCo Members

Though many among the newly appointed LegCo members are unknown to our respondents, the list was still acceptable to them as the

appointees seem to be neutral, politically unaffiliated and thus able to balance the interests of the community.
