1. Mr Maude has considered your submission of 18 Apri commenting on the second draft of the Home Secretary's speech. He thinks that the third draft of the speech is crisply written but is content for you to pass to Home Office officials, as they have requested, the revised wording you refer to in paragraphs 3 (a), (g) and (h) of your submission.
