Sir David Wilson has asked that the following message- be passed to the Prime Minister:-
"At a meeting today of the Executive Council a number of members of the Council spoke most warmly
about the immense amount of effort which the
Government has made to put the Hong Kong Nationality package before Parliament and get such substantial support for it at the Second Reading. They asked me to pass on their appreciation to Ministers, and to you personally, for all that has been done on Hong Kong's behalf. May I add my own personal thanks.
The result of last week's debate has been a great
encouragement to Hong Kong."
I am sending a copy of this letter to Colin Walters in
the Home Office.
