Although the normal maintenance and accommodation requirements should not be applied either to a UKPH/special voucher holder or his wife and dependent children, entry clearances should not be granted to the wife and children if it is obvious that a family accompanying the UKPH/voucher holder will need to have recorse to public funds immediately on arrival in the UK. In these cases the head of household may be issued with a special voucher or settlement entry clearance as appropriate and advised to apply for entry clearances for his family when, after arrival in the UK, he has acquired a job and accommodation. This provision should be waived where the head of household is on the point of expulsion or where the head of household is a widow with children under the

age of 18.

UKPII husbands and fiances (who do not hold another citizenship) of women (of any nationality) settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement may be granted entry clearance; with a view to eventual settlement. Anyone holding such an entry clearance, however, should be admitted in accordance with the Rules.
