Either way what we want to avoid is the Diplomatic Wing having to approach the Treasury to ask for a running costs increase to fund these jobs. The Treasury have already given notice (para 4 of their letter) that these running costs should be absorbed from within the sponsoring department's existing provision in 1990/91 and in 1991/92.
