After receipt of the Steering Group's advice, the Governor will authorise the Immigration Department to proceed with the verification and checking of the selected applicants.
These selected applicants will be invited to attend an interview in the Immigration Department during which documentary evidence of his
education/qualifications etc. and proof of
relationship with their dependants will be examined. Personality checks will also be conducted on their

The Steering Group will consider the two lists mentioned in (g) and submit its advice to the Governor. The Governor will then recommend to the
Home Secretary a list of officers who should be granted British citizenship.
The HMG Team stationed in Hong Kong will exercise the authority of the Home Secretary to register the qualified applicants and their dependants.
After the grant of registration certificate, the holder may apply for a UK passport through the HK
The HMG Team stationed in Immigration Department. Hong Kong will authorise the issue of passports.
Unsuccessful applicants will be notified in writing.
