What is regarded as "relevant experience"?

P.52
A. 4
Working experience in the occupation to which the
applicant belongs is directly relevant experience.
In some limited cases, experience not directly in the
occupation which the application belongs will also
count. For example, a production engineer moving up
the ladder in his manufacturing company and now
reaches a general manager level, and applying under
the "management" occupational group, will have his
previous professional experience counted. Experience
with no relevance to the applicant's
occupation will not be counted: for
experience as a clerk will not count in the
an applicant who is now an accountant.

Experience measured solely in number of years favour
time-servers against quality people?
A. 4 То some extent, this effect cannot be completely
eliminated, but care is taken to minimize this by:
(i) capping experience points at 15 years; and
(ii) awarding more points to those with better
relevant qualification/training.
