Mr. Li controls several large companies and their subsidiaries in Hong Kong, the total market value of which exceeds HK$ 100 billion i.e. more than 15% of the total value of stocks in Hong Kong. Apart from holding more than 50% of shares of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd., he is also a major shareholder of Hutchison-Whampoa, Hongkong Electric, Cavendish International Holdings, Hong Kong Bank and other
companioc.
Mr. Li is also the principal shareholder of the Concord Pacific of Canada, which develops the former World Expo site in Vancouver. His other assets in Canada include investment in the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and the Toronto Hilton. in addition, he holds 90% of Ilusky Oil
through his son.
Together with Mr. LI Shau-kee and others, he founded City Development in Cingapore in 1988, in preparation for the construction of the Singapore International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
