RITATE SECURE
I was very grateful for the opportunity to meet you and the Home Secretary on 15 November to talk about the possible UK package for British passport holders in Hong Kong.
It occurred to me after the meeting that you might find it useful to come out to Hong Kong to see the situation at first hand and discuss some of the issues directly with those involved or affected. In terms of timing, you might find a visit after the announcement of a package, but before legislation has to be put through Parliament, would be the most suitable. at this stage, could I simply say that you will be very welcome to come at any time and that, if you do manage to come, you will be most welcome to stay with us at Government House.
