Action Taken

A large number of our members have expressed very serious misgivings about the Government's handling of the Hong- Kong immigration issue. The matter was discussed fully at last night's meeting of our Executive Council, and the following resolution was passed with no votes against:-

"This Executive Council is totally opposed to the Government's proposal to issue passports to 50,000 Hong Kong persons leading to an influx of 200,000 or more to this Country and urges the Government to honour its Election pledges that primary immigration has ceased.'

Yours sincerely,

"
