1.
Mr Maude was grateful for the two standard draft replies on the Nationality Package. He is content for these letters to issue as Departmental replies but would like a little more work done on them for Ministerial replies. In particular he thinks that in the fourth paragraph of the first letter we need to spell out the international initiative.
more clear would also like a paragraph on this to be included in the second letter.
2. Mr Maude would be grateful for revised drafts. He intends to ask David Davis and David Lidington for their comments on the drafts before he puts them up to the Secretary of State.
