Re: Enforcement of a Hong Kong judgment

We act on behalf of KB International (Hong Kong) Limited, the Mitsubishi Trust and the Banking Corporation and Banco Pinto and Sotto Mayor which are the Plaintiffs in legal proceedings commenced in the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in High Court Action No. A222 of 1989.

We have been requested by the three Banks to formally seek your assistance in enforcing a judgment of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong made on 10th March, 1989 in accordance with Article 202 of the Civil Code. enclose a sealed copy of the Judgment in which it will be noted that the 3rd Defendant is the Committee for Foreign and Economics and Trade of Zhongshan City which we believe is a department of Zhongshan City Government.

A sealed copy of the Judgment was sent to the Defendants by courier on 14th March, 1989 with a request that payment be made but up to this date, no payment has been received and our efforts to enforce the judgment have been fruitless.
