Territories Citizen passport holders and by British National (Overseas) passport holders (hereafter called "British Hong Kong passport holders") and for travel to Hong Kong by South African passport holders, and to state that the

understanding of the Government of South Africa is as follows -

(2)

(3)

(4)

British Hong Kong passport holders will be permitted to visit South Africa without visas for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) days, including the date of landing.

British Hong Kong passport holders visiting South Africa without visas under the above arrangements will be subject to the immigration

laws and regulations in force in South Africa.

South African passport holders will be

permitted to visit Hong Kong without visas for à period not exceeding fifteen (15) days on a reciprocal basis and under arrangements identical to those described in (1) and (2) above.

The above arrangements may be terminated by either Government giving ninety days' notice in writing to the other Government.

If the above also represents the understanding of the

two Governments which will come into effect thirty days after the date of the Chief Secretary's reply.
