The Austrian Embassy presents its compliments to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and upon request of the compe- tent Austrian authorities kindly asks to be informed whether holders of British National (Overseas) Passports and British Dependent Territories Citizen Passports can be considered as falling under the regulations of the Exchange of Notes between the United Kingdom and Austria concerning the abolition of visas of 1968 as subsequently ammended and in particular whether such passport holders are accepted back into the United Kingdom at any time, according to paragraph 6 of said Exchange

of Notes.

Furthermore the Austrian Embassy would appreciate to be informed with reference to the second paragraph of the Foreign Office's Note GVM 349/3 of 13 November 1989 whether the Mi- gration and Visa Department's suggestions concerning a revision of the agreement concerned are already available.

The Austrian Embassy avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Foreign and Commonwealth office the assurances of its highest consideration.
