I refer to our telephone conversation during my recent visit to London. As requested, I enclose a copy of Mr Nick Cannon's letter of 31 October 1989 to Miss Cherry Ling of General Duties Branch, in which the issue of Visa Abolition Agreements (VAAS) for BN (0) and SAR passports was raised. Before we could come up with an approach or a strategy to tackle the matter, we need to look at the text of the existing VAAS. In this connection, you have very kindly agreed to let us have copies of the 48 VAAS.
