Thank you for your minute of 31 May. I attach a copy of my letter of today's date to Lawrence Leung from which you will see that we have now met his request to provide copies of UK VAAS. I do not understand why this request, of which I was previously unaware, had remained unanswered.

2. Re your para 3, MVD will be very pleased to work with you on any questions concerning Hong Kong's negotiations of VAAS and indeed Mr Thompson of this Department has already let you have our comments on the Hong Kong discussion paper.
