MONTREAL PROTOCOL ON SUBSTANCES THAT DEPLETE THE OZONE LAYER: HONG KONG

1. Hong Kong have enacted the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance 1989 to implement the above.

2.

Given the importance of this matter and in particular the possibility of public interest, our Legal Advisers think that it would be helpful if you could glance through the Hong Kong Ordinance (copy attached) to ensure that you are content with what Hong Kong have done to implement these conventions.

3. I also attach a letter from Miss Ho in the Hong Kong Government explaining why no precedent was used when drafting the Ordinance.
