ALLOCATION OF CALL SIGNS TO HONG KONG: PITCAIRN ISLANDS

1.

Thank you for your letter of 24 July.

2. As you will have seen from Hamilton telno 135, other dependent territories have difficulty with our proposal. We are still considering the way forward. We hope, however, to move ahead soon so that, if it is decided to change the Pitcairn's call sign, adequate notice can be given.

3.

On the second point in your letter, it is not clear from where in the FCO reimbursement for the cost of redundant QSL cards could come. It would help in our consideration, however, if you could give us an estimate of the sum involved.

Yours

ever
