Your letter of 27 November, about contracts awarded to the Macau Airport, sought confirmation that Constructoes Technicas is a Portuguese and not a Spanish company. I can confirm that it is indeed Portuguese. That of course makes a considerable difference to the point we have been discussing since that firm features in most of the construction contracts. Otherwise the American list is not all that different from the one I provided. It adds a couple of contracts eg Financial Advisers and Traffic Fore- casters, and it omits two or three of those which I included, but a bigger difference is that your American list just shows one company for each item, whereas mine showed all the main partners. We do of course follow the Macau Airport Project very closely (wearing our Consulate General for Macau hat). I am confident that my list is both more complete and more accurate than that which you obtained from the Americans. If it would be of any interest I can continue to keep you updated on the award of contracts.
